The Magic of Disney – Lorcana TCG

I would have never thought of getting into a live game to be honest. Yet, here we are: Lorcana TCG is now available in our shop.

There are multiple reasons for this, but I’d say a good part came from the family trip to Disneyland Paris we had recently, that invigorated my Disney spirit, and the hope to play something with my daughter that might match her tastes.

Something I want to make clear is that I won’t partake in the sealed product madness that is out there right now.

We will be listing only singles and possibly Pins & other accessories, but it’s unlikely that we will move into Sealed. Everyone of you will have access to products locally at some point, and for a shop like us, that works almost entirely on international shipping, it does not really make sense. Let alone the prices currently being out of touch.

The last important additional note that I want to bring to your attention is discounts:

Lorcana, much like Magic and other in-print games, have much smaller margins in general (let alone right now at launch), and for this reason we won’t be able to offer the Loyalty discount on any Lorcana product for the time being.

Regarding Store Credits, only Store Credits that comes from Lorcana Buylists will have the ability to be used for Lorcana products, this is also to keep a good inventory cycling.

It is also likely that the game won’t be included in the last sale of the year, normally around Black Friday time, but we have not decided on that yet.

I understand this might be frustrating, but we can’t operate at a loss, so I hope you’ll be able to understand where it comes from.

I could have simply moved to sell them on TCGplayer, CardTrader or Card Market, but I do prefer to provide this as an additional service to our customers, rather than going into those platforms.

I hope this will be an interesting experience if anything.

Worst comes to worst, we might discontinue the game, until it joins the ranks of the dead 🙂
